The thing is, Sony also knows what to do and especially in Europe Microsoft simply doesn't really understand how to advertise which they have already shown with 360 and they will also not simply change the mind of I would say 10-30 years old who think that Playstation is simply the console to own (if PS1, 2 or now 4). And they can have as many big games as they want, it's not as if Sony won't have a lot if exclusives as well. The simple fact that many developers will work on Playstation exclusive games even without getting money for it from Sony (especially in Japan) will make it impossible for Microsoft to have an real advantage if it comes to games. I think their first party will be maybe as important as Sony's first party is with the big investments the last months or years but it won't be like 4x better which it would have to be to change peoples minds that Playstation is at least not a worse purchase. I always have the feeling as if they really have no clue about what Playstation means in many parts of this world. It's a synonym for gaming like CocaCola is for Cola at least in Germany and the chance that Microsoft has a chance to beat Sony in most countries is like the chance that people here start to drink more Pepsi as CocaCola. As long as CocaCola won't do some crazy bad stuff Pepsi simply won't beat them here. Microsoft had an advantage in price and release time with 360 and they still lost. Now they lost both advantages (which is already like a big advantage for Sony).and have to fight against a bad reputation and think to win? Well...

That is very true. This is how you describe XBox to an average Croatian (I owned a 360 for 5 years, and had this same conversation dozens of times):
Average Croatian: What is that under your TV?
Me: It's XBox 360.
AC (confused look): ??? What's that????
Me: It's same as Playstation, only made by Microsoft.
AC: Oh, OK. I understand now.
So, after a dozen of those exchanges, I just started answering: "It's Playstation, only made by Microsoft!"
So, that about sums up XBox's market share in many of smaller European countries.
