Of course bundling and price cuts helped X1's sales, but certainly hurt Microsoft's bottom line.
They poured so much money into those promotions, and now they cannot even advertise their console as "#1 in America".
I shudder to think what kind of massacre we would gave had without those promotions.

Anyways an update. Some people have suggested that adjustment month could have affected the March numbers to make it not as good as the previous month. While I still think it might be possible, Benvtrigger has said that that was not the case. Weekly suggests both consoles are trending downward, I sure hope not.

Huh didn't realize X1 sold less per week in March than Febuary, that doesn't make any sense to me.

the theory is that xb1 didnt do as bad in january than npd showed so npd put more in february to make up the difference. absolute bollocks. target sent a large amount of xb1 back to ms because they werent selling in january. those unts were converted as titanfall bundles and sent back in march

People knew the game was not going to make a stand. I just think people wanted it to.


It did good for what it was but it would never do what others "expected" it to.

As others have said it certainly did not hurt anything. When will the XBOne outsell the PS4 for an entire month? Halo 5 should be able to do it correct?

Clearly it would have done worse without the bundles and price cuts.

Of course it did, it did help outsell ps4 for the launch of titanfall, and after that it helped give a strong boost in sales afterward

Can you imagine what XBO numbers would be if Titanfall was on PS4? Yeah it helped, people just overestimated the effect one game can have.
