Forums - Nintendo Discussion - TONS of new screenshots from Super Smash Bros. for WiiU/3DS released

I'll likely buy both.

One thing I'm not sure on tho is if the 3DS can be shared easily... i.e. does multiplayer take two carts or share one?

Don't think they've said either way yet, but I imagine they'll have download play since why the heck not!

Am I the only one who thinks the textures don't look that great? Am I crazy? I'm no graphics whore, but that's really standing out for me. (Wii U version).

No you are not the only one.

Edit: damn broken hotlinking.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Those are wonderful screenshots. Looked through them all on the link - I think they've just sold me Yoshi!

SubiyaCroylite, in his dupe thread, got an easier access link

I'll slot it into the OP and lock his thread.

So seeing how those screenshots (originals) are in 1080p resolution, can we take this as confirmation that the Wii U version will indeed output in native 1080p (and likely 60fps)?

That certainly seems to be the case. That could explain the not-that-great textures, if they're trying to trade off for both crisp resolution AND an optimal framerate.

Kirby is soon to learn about "BABIES".

And it looks like the "Year of Luigi" might be the last one for him.

That's what I was thinking. I can live with such textures and the relatively low-poly characters and backgrounds if the end result is displayed at 1080p/60fps. Now all we need is a stable and fluid online mode and we're all set.

Also - that full HD is certainly going to be useful when playing on big stages and the camera zooms out a lot.

Viewing the screens here http://endless-agb.minus.com/mbopyab0NE2JXz is heaps better.

Smash is definitely a game that can benefit from 1080p so I'm not fussed if that means some compromise on the level of visual bling.
