Forums - Gaming Discussion - Angry joe vs Angry IGN review editor - Twitter fight because the titanfall review.

Joe has my respect far more than IGN ever will. He wasn't wrong, Titanfall while a fun solid shooter is not a 9 or 10/10. It really frustrates me how reviewers don't take into account the entire package, rather just what their mind percepts as fun.

I really enjoy The Last Remnant on Xbox 360. However, it was glitchy as balls with a shit ton of slowdown, pop-in, frame rate issues, and awkward movement on occassions. BELIEVE THE HYPE 10/10 OMG.

As if we needed anymore confirmation that a) IGN is full of retards and b) gaming journalism is a field of self possessed manchildren.

Yes its not a 10/10, I agree.

But then I dont think any game is.  You name your 10/10 and I'll disagree.

Opinions huh?

But your bolded bit is nonsense. I think a reviewer is allowed to review on any metric or standard they want... a reviewer is merely posting their own opinion.  Its no more valid than your opinion or mine.

Of course none of this stops AJ from being a parasite.

When I was younger I fell into the 10/10 category, but I have yet to play one I think is even close. Games are fun, but nothing is perfect.

Joe is a single guy who makes games video. And ign is under a big corporation with lost of stuff. Yet they are comparing youtube numbers.

Oh ign... you so funny

Strange statement by the guy at the end. A whole organisation of people having 4x the amount of subscribers than one guy and an editor is hardly impressive.

Theres some weird misunderstandings in there (mostly about the word "campaign") but for the most part, Dan should've stayed out of it. Regardless of whether he believes that he is right...

I will watch Joe's review later today but for now this is fairly silly, mostly on Dan's side.

Critics are also subject of criticism. They shouldn't lose their cool when these things are pointed out; that's lack of professionalism or whatever is writen.

From that twitter conversation.

Dan is "more" in the right than joe is based off the twitter conversation you posted. Joe shouldn't have misquoted ign, since he clearly didn't read the review but only looked at the score, and then misquoted that. 8.9 is a big difference from 9. If they wanted it to be rounded up then they would have given it a 9. Dan may have overreacted a bit, but so did Joe. That's my opinion anyways.
