Thats how I think, except about the hardware.

Software features depend on HW features, not the other way around.

When I look at mario kart 8 I want to get my hands on a controller and play that game. My instincts tell me that I probably won't enjoy Watchdogs. Despite being in an open world environment which I love I just don't like the look of the gameplay. Firstly I don't like the third person viewpoint for such a game and I don't want to be hacking all the time. Hacking doors, hacking other people's phones etc. That looks really boring. Also that PR event where Ubisoft gave tablets away to the press makes me wonder if there is an underlying crapness to the game that they are trying to counter with a charm/freebie offensive.

At this point I'm not convinced this will be a good game and also the developer has a history of developing weak wii u games. Whether those games are weak due to the underlying hardware or simply lack of effort or skill I don't know but both Assassin's Creed games were weak on wii u, inferior to ps3 and 360 and if anything the later game was worse than the first. I just have a feeling that they hype machine will probably sell quite a few copies of this on the launch formats but then people will come to realise just how shit a game it is and at that point the wii u version launches to complete apathy. You'll probably only have to wait a month before its down to £10 or less.

Basically, it's going to sell like crap, they aren't going to push the Wii U hardware,  and it'll be the final nail in the casket for Wii U third parties.  I don't see a lot of good coming from a Wii U version anymore and even if it's good, I may be interested in something else entirely.

come now, you know this game was going to sell like crap regardless if it had released the same time as others. But that still doesnt answer his question, why deny yourself a good game.

If it's good, I'll probably own it before the Wii U version comes out.
