Forums - Gaming Discussion - Hex Heroes - A Party RTS for Wii U/PC/Mac/Linux

Prismatic launched a Kickstarter recently. Hex Heroes.

Hex Heroes is a multiplayer real time strategy game for Wii U where up to 4 players share the TV harvesting resources, building structures, fending off enemies, and exploring dangerous territories. Another player uses the gamepad to manage resources and teammates, make executive decisions, and survey the land from a bird’s eye view. Hex Heroes can be played solo, but we’re sure you’ll want to wrangle up some friends to join in!

Many people were impressed enough to lend us some cameos for the game.

Hex Heroes’ little figurines and magical lands are all about taking us back to playing with toys as kids. Who better to score our game than the composer who scored much of our childhood gaming, Grant Kirkhope! With such memorable adventures as Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64, to more epic ones like Kingdoms of Amalur, we’re wanting to strike a harmonious medium. We’re absolutely thrilled to have Grant on board, and we hope our game’s soundtrack will find a cozy little spot in your memories alongside Banjo and Kong.

Wow, I LOVE this idea. A really brilliant use of the GamePad. Plus Grant Kirkhope!

I will definitely keep a close eye on this one.

Awesome, and RTS idea for WiiU. I hope it gets backed.

All things considered, the wii u gamepad may be the most suited for an rts game of any console controller ever. That's not saying much and I believe it will still pale in comparison to the good ol' keyboard and mouse, but it's something.

Well, I did my part

This is only the second time I've pledged money to Kickstarter, but this seems like as good a project as any.

I hope the game reaches its goal...

I think it's a good idea, and its on PC and Mac as well, so no need to worry 'bout that.

Bumping this bad boy since there are 23 hours left to go. The game is at 92% of its $80,000 goal.
