That's very rude. I know how to speak, write, and modify my tone to relate differing effects. I wrote my post the way I did to convey my excitement. You mean to say "I wish the grammar police were real," by the way - because it is a wish of a hypothetical alternative to reality and not something actual, you need to use the subjunctive verb mood.

The grammar police was just a phrase.  I don't recal there being a spelling police or real words police, ect.  Thus used the common phrase Grammar Police.

But reading those words you posted makes me feel like I'm watching Malibu's Most Wanted or some shit movie.

You obviously don't even understand what I said back. Please think more than twice next time you want to insult somebody on the internet.

I fully understood what you were saying. I know what the term 'grammar police' means, and I know what lapses in my style you were referring to. I attempted to explain to you that those lapses were deliberate to convey my feelings of excitement. I then pointed out an actual grammatic error you made that didn't convey anything stylistically, but was merely technically wrong. (You said the indicitive verb mood 'was' when the verb should have been conjugated with the subjunctive verb mood 'were' in that instance.) I even explained why, in a clear manner.

You respond with "Man, 'grammar police' is just a phrase. I was talking about your spelling mistakes."

I at least hope everybody else can see how silly you look. I have given up hope you will understand.
