They must be under new management these days.

It was a bad investment, they never profited out of it, they either should've bought them out fully or not bother. PS2's dominance meant the console was getting all the games anyway. But last gen they stopped getting special treatment.

Makes sense. They weren't doing anything with them. Odd decision to even invest in the first place.

Not really, was one Japanese corp heling another.  Shit like that happens certain places.

In Germany Bayern helped save Borussia from going bust.

Never knew Sony had such a large stake in Square. Kind of makes the lack of exclusives over the last 8 years absolutely embarrassing when you think about it.

Nothing at all worthwhile came from it anyway, so nothing of importance was lost.

I'm so confused! What does it mean? Who is doomed now? Is it Sony or Square Enix?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Yes Nintendone will withdraw from the console market within 3 years

Wait, what? They had shares for Squenix?! Wow... Didn't know that before.

It wasn't a particularly large stake, 8% i think. They had no control over the day to day decisions of the company, they just owned a piece of it.

I never really understood why they invested in them in the first place, but still, they made a pretty nice profit out of the whole thing.

You can never go wrong with both. Also throw some Nintendo in there for the judges.
