Forums - Sony Discussion - Details on Tales of Zestiria's battle system (similar to Graces) and some other stuff

How does Graces play?

Around the Network

Sweet, loved Graces so this is a good thing, all though Xillia was great also.

Graces battle system was pretty much the best out of all Tales games, but I really liked Xillia allowing you to pair up characters. Graces system with the pairing ability from Xillia would be amazing.

But in general, it seems like they have the right idea for Zesteria.

They should make it more like CoD so they can sell more copies.

Graces F is the best battle system ive played in a Tales game so this is good news.

Graces battle system was one of the best in the whole series so this is a good sign for the game!

I really like Graces' battle system, but I've actually grown to love Xillia's a bit more once I got used to movement in it.

Still, good to hear, all of the 3D Tales games battle systems have been fine with me.

Slightly off topic...

Should I buy Tales of Graces F or Xillia from the Psn sale. (can't afford both)

edit: I am not yet familiar with Tales.

If you want a good story and a better soundtrack - Xillia. If you want more polished gameplay and extra content - Graces F (I still prefer Xillia's combat overall though).

Both have good casts, but Xillia's are better IMO.

Well, that's a 1up for Xillia.

Do the 'discovery'and the 'knight' edition bring anything worthy to the table?

I feel the same. Graces is actually the first Tales title I played, and I loved the battle system, but I actually grew to like Xillia's a bit more. I won't be complaining about a Graces type battle system though.
