Yeah.

I can't believe they messed up the awesome Metroid timeline into a warped timeline centering around Other M with the Prime games nowhere to be seen...

I always got the impression that Sakomoto was a bit salty over how beloved the Prime games were. 

tbh I think Super Metroid is generally more beloved, even though I myself prefer Fusion and the Primes.

Other M was the worst Metroid game, why can't people just get over it? If you like it, great, but when 80% of the fanbase despises it, it's probably bad.

But the best part is that It's in HD! On the Wii U version at least.

Yeaa, the second screen shot on the wii is from a cutscene and, at the parts that I am looking at, it looks way better than the wii version even though thats a cut scene! FHD people! The next gen is here!

I think the Wii cutscene looks better. I'm pretty sure there's more polygons.

From Dracula's country with American gamers' taste* and yeah it had gameplay issues but I'm mostly talking about the plot only.

And that's fine if you see things like that. Considering, the few Team Ninja games that I've played, they've had strong independent female characters and some dependent characters. It just happens like that. Not every character is independent sort of like real life (*gasp* I know, crazy). Granted, Samus independently destroys all her enemies in various games, including this one. The only difference is that you get her thoughts and feelings during the whole thing which makes her seem dependent but she's not. That's what the OP explicitly explains. She's defeating all these enemies while still having her emotions on the frontlines. For once, you see the person behind the suit and not just the suit killing things then getting naked at the end of the game to reveal eye-candy.
