Which console had the best controller in your opinion? What did you like about it that made nothing else compare to it.

For me personally, I have to say that the PS4 controller has to be the best controller I've ever used. Here are the reasons:

-Excellent ergonomics with all buttons in good reach. Fits perfectly in my hand for hours without causing any strain whatsoever.

-Has all the buttons necessary for traditional gaming but also incorporates six axis and touchscreen. Nothing crazy and the touchscreen is a nice addition that can be used in games.

-The analogues are responsive with just the right dead zones so that they can be used to aim very accurately in FPS.

-Nice D-Pad for side scrollers and fighting games. Triggers are good for driving and FPS games.

All in all, the DS4 is a controller that has been refined with many generations of gaming experience. The 360 controller comes very close to it in taking the crown, but the DS4 is the best imo.

Gamecube, it just fit perfectly in my hands.  Only problem was the A button tend to get pushed down in a lot of controllers and the D pad couda been a little bigger, its gonna feel really weird playing SSB without a GC controller.

For me, it's a tie between the SNES and Xbox 360 controller. They are simply so damn comfortable and I never had a single issue with them!

Comfortable and Light Weight.

D-Pad that doesn't hurt my fingers after long peroids of play.

Insane battery life (+80 hours).

Dualshock 3.

Everything is so perfectly placed and responsive.

Any Playstation controller since I like fighters and hack and slash games. The controller, especially the PS2 iteration, is perfect for the aforementioned genres. if I had to choose one I'd say PS4 since I find it seems crafted for more than just those 2 genres.

I'm not a huge fan of the NGC controller, but I find it PERFECT for Smash Bros. Melee - which is among my favorite titles - so it's definitely up there for me. Not very durable though.

And you have my answer. There was a third-party GC controller from MadCatz that was Nirvana in my hands, I wish I could remember the name of it. I'm not a big fighting game fan, but I put in so many hours of Smash, Soul Calibur 2 and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom because of it.

I had to adjust to every Controller I ever placed in my hands, with the GC Controller being the sole exception. It's just so damn comfortable.

SNES and Xbox 360 are on my short list. The Wii U Pro Controller is great too, although I need to use it a little more.

Easily the DualShock 2.
Everything about that controller was perfect and to this day its the only controller I can comfortably hold with 4 fingers on the LR buttons (well maybe DS1 aswell)
