2's.

Some of our most loved video games came not on the 1st entry, but in most cases, in the sequels following.

From games like Bioshock 2, Y's II, Alundra 2, Mass Effect 2 and one of my all time favorites, Uncharted 2.

Today we will talk about 4 of gamings most loved (Sometimes Not so Loved) franchises.

In the squared circle we have in one corner, Nintendo's leading man, the ever popular, always on time, Mario.

Across from him we see one of the all time greats, maybe  Sega's biggest name on their roster, the Blue Blur, Sonic.

Alongside him we see the dynamic duo hailing from camp Sony, the wrench swinging, bolt collecting duo that is Ratchet & Clank.

And across from them we round out the contest with another of Sony's gun toating wise cracking duo's, the sometimes fan favorite Jak & Daxter. 

Now, this contest is all about 2's, so it's simple, rate these 4 games in order of best (1) to not so best (2-4).

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (1)- My 2nd favorite 2D Sonic game, only behind Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Ratchet & Clank Going Comando (2)- An overall good game and I like it more than the original.
Jak II (3)- Inferior to the original game, but still enjoyable........maybe.
Super Mario Bros 2 (4)- An overall empty and boring game...

1. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
A noticeable improvement over the original, with better pacing and more varied gameplay

2. Sonic the Hedgehog 2
A bright, speedy sequel with larger levels and new moves

3. Super Mario Bros. 2
While it pales in comparison to 1 and 3, it's still a fun and quirky platformer with great boss battles

4. Jak II
Whereas Ratchet 2 improved on the formula, Jak II was a step backward

1. Ratchet and Clank Going Commando
2. Sonic 2
3. Mario 2 (I'd take this one over the Japanese Mario 2 any day)
4. Jak 2
