Forums - Movies & TV - just watched the latest episode of GAME OF THRONES SEASON 4.....WOWWWWW

Game of Thrones is one of the most incredible video experiences of my life.

It touches on what is so important to us humans (even though we won't admit it). Especially the theme of leaving (and protecting one's) legacy.

It is phenomenal.

Why.. Why does it feel like I'm the only one who doesn't watch this show?

I didn't get it at all in the beginning. I had Season 1 on my PS3 and watched the first episode and thought - MEH! Then I watched it another two times and thought I'd try a few more episodes. I didn't love it after season 1, but by the middle of season 2 it was one of my favourite tv shows of all time.

Thoughts:

- You must attempt to "get into it" again

- Don't EVER skip episodes

- Accept that the developments happen very slowly

Why would you watch it another two times.. Anyway, it's not like I don't want to try to watch this series but at the moment I want to watch too many things already so I don't really have the time to.

There were big time gaps in between. I tried watching it twice and didn't like it both times before I went on to Episode 2.

I thought it was very predictable. The end of season 3 though shocked me so much though.

The onyl way GoT is predictable is if you read about it online because people tease events all the time from where they read the books.  Example the Red Wedding and Purple Wedding.  I pretty much already knew because people cant keep their mouths shut.

"Oh just you wait until this episode!"  Ugh ok, you pretty much gave it away but ok.  Both were awesome though and didnt make me enjoy it any less.

Yeah. The Purple Wedding was a very satisfying scene, wasn't it? We have just one more big surprise to look forward before the drag of book four and five, though.

I hear talk of plans to combine books 4+5 into one season. Doubt it'll go down that way, but we can hope.

Thinking about it, yeah, they'll have to, at least to an extent, for the series is going to be eight seasons long, and that's the absolute maximum. Hopefully some of the slower plots will be sped up and the boring ones cut altogether.
