Meh, I don't notice screen tearing at all unless I am online and see a screenshot. To me its like pixel counting, not something I notice during gameplay. The frame rate drops are so sporadic and rare, it would be nice if they could iron them out sooner rather than later but if not, oh well.

I hear that from a few people that the screen tearing doesn't bother them, but I feel like it is a mild distraction for me.  Also I have frame rate drops frequently, some time it legitamately will freeze for a few seconds and I can't do anything until it stops.  So far I have 1 day and 12 hours  into it even with my performance gripes, however I really want it to be fixed.

Are you sure it's not your connection that is crap? I have played this game for 2 weeks now and I had some slowdowns when there were 4 Titans battling with dozen of spectres and flying creatures... the only time the game froze on me was when my connection played tricks. About the screen tearing well I never notice these things except when people online try hard to find flaws in games... but at the same time I game on a 32" tv so maybe the larger the tv the more it's noticeable.

No I don't think my connection is crap, I have a 60 mbps down and 4.5 mbps up and my ping is around 32 to the north american titanfall servers.  So I don't think that is the problem.  Although I do notice that when I try to stream that things will often come to a crawl, along with having really bad hit registration.

Maybe my comprehension is bad but you make it seem like the game is almost unplayable :s ... it never froze on me and never really noticed (or cared) for screen tearing so maybe I'm not affected by this... are you playing on X1?

Yes I'm playing on the x1.  It's only unplayable when it comes to almost a complete freeze, which probably happens once or twice a day to me.

Of course. Titanfall is a very popular entry in a very popular genre.

Exactly. Don't know what screen tearing is but that along with frame rate drops aren't noticable. But hey, maybe some people play games while looking at the TV through a magnifying glass.

Some people are more used to noticing screen tearing or FPS drops.

I know before I even started playing PC games, I had no idea what FPS was and could never tell the different between a 30 FPS game and a 60 FPS game...Or when a game would drop frames. Even if a game was 30 and it dropped I would call it lag, and not an FPS drop because I had no idea what that was.

Now though, I can easily notice FPS dropping from like 60 to 50 or lower, and I can easily tell the difference between 30 to 60 FPS.

It just varies from person to person, there's no magnifying glass needed

In his defense you could link to some of the shittiest screen tearing ever and that doesn't make what he said wrong, the screen tearing in Titanfall could still not be noticeable to him during gameplay. Sure, that BF4 screen tearing sure was, even before the slow motion replay. But Titanfall and Battlefield 4 are two different games.

The frame rate drops are noticeable but if he doesn't play LTS then he might never run into the really chaotic moments where the frame rate might drop. Either way this place exaggerates the occurrence of that greatly. Someone here even called it a "technical mess" recently, made me giggle greatly.

Welp that didn't take long...

The first batch of Titanfall maps have already been raped, especially if you play Capture the Flag. It came in at the right time. DLC should never take longer than a month to come out.

Wait this is only 3 new maps for $10? No new skins or customizations options or new modes three maps that's it?

That other stuff would be free in updates.
