Fry’s Slices $100 Off the Xbox One + Titanfall + Forza 5 Bundle; Drops it to $460

by Giuseppe Nelva (13 hours ago) 2

If you live in the US and you’ve looked with a bit of envy at all the discounts on the Xbox One Titanfall bundle happening in the UK (I’m not sure what you would, since with the Dollar/Pound exchange rate it still costs more there, but still), looks like things are moving in the US as well.

Retailer Fry’s just sliced $100 off the bundle including the console, Titanfall and Forza Motorsport 5, bringing it down from $559.99 to a much more manageable $459.99.

You can find it here. As usual to see the final discount you have to create an account and proceed to checkout. If you’re interested in both the games offered, it’s definitely a very sweet deal.

Nice deal! I just wish Forza wasn't a download code...

They're only just now dropping the price on this bundle? The $560 cost has been outdated for weeks.

So for $560 you got an Xbone, Titanfall, and Forza 5. Yet anywhere else, for $450, you could get the Xbone, Titanfall OR Forza 5. Then add $60 to get the other game, and you're only at $510. No wonder they haven't been selling any and want to drop the price.

$160 less than early adopter pricing :)

Patience surely pays.

When stores do this, are they preparing to order less stock after they clear what they have, or do they try to boost all their products every so often?

I wouldn't say it was "outdated". The $450 price isn't official, but rather, retailer specific. Not "$450 anywhere else". For example, the TF bundle is $500 at GameStop, Amazon, and Toy'R'Us.

Just because WalMart dropped price doesn't mean that's the price that's available everywhere else, and it certainly doesn't mean the bundled price Fry's was offering was "outdated" considering the $450 price tag is up to the retailer, not a price MS put on the bundle

That's wierd, everyone here sure acts as if its a complete nationwide price cut and bundle when they need ammo to attack the Xbone.

Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon, MS Store, these are all huge brick and mortar/online retailers selling the bundles for $450. And I'm sure I could find more if I looked. No matter how you wanna slice it the bundle was outdated and overpriced. Hence the reason they need to lower it.

Point is, that's not the price everywhere. Only at those specific retailers. If $560 for the bundle was "outdated" and everywhere else is $450 (which isn't true), what difference, then, is it from a "complete nationwide price cut and bundle" if everywhere else is selling it at the price cutted mark? If $450 is the price that XBone has to be at (and if sold at a higher price (i.e. the official price) anywhere else is being "outdated"), then only 5 months from release with 2 games bundled....I'd say the "ammo" is justified.

I think $399 with no game would be more of a sales boon than $450 with 2 games myself. There's something about the $400+ barrier that seems tough.
