No. I like the 3D feature, but the cons outweigh the prones. Because the 3DS only works on the top screen, and must be looked at in a particular angle, it makes many of the mechanics that worked so well on the DS not work at all on the 3DS. Games that focused mainly on the touch screen (Kirby Canvas Curse, Kirby Mass Attack, Elite Beat Agents) have been MIA for the most part. Games that SHOULD be played entirely on the touchscreen (Nintendogs, Final Fantasy Theatrythm) have awkward control schemes due to the forced focus on the top screen. Games that involve constant switching between two screens (Bowser's Inside Story, The World Ends With You) aren't a good fit. Games that required you to hold the DS in a "book" style have all but disappeared.
Just think about how many games really make great use of the touch screen or dual screens. Kid Icarus Uprising... ummmm maybe art academy... and uhhhhh... Hmmmmmmmm... I dunno. Meanwhile on the DS we had Bowser's Inside Story, Kirby Canvas Curse, Kirby Mass Attack, The World Ends With You, Rhythm Heaven, Wario Ware Touched, Metroid Prime Hunters, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Nintendogs, Meteos, Cooking Mama, etc.
That's not to say touch controls are inherently better than non-touch controls, but it was nice to have a variety and more possibilities. The forced focus on the 3D screen has limited these possibilities. While I genuinely enjoy the 3D effect in many games (Uprising, Pilotwings, 3D Land, Luigi's Mansion, Resident Evil Revelations) it was not worth it.
