You guys still dont get it? Cutscenes were recorded in a powerful PC with better poly count and anti alising. They dont represent actual game graphics. Actual game graphics is worse than the cutscenes. I am glad infamous second son didnt cheated me in this regard.

Oh, we get it. I just don't think you're getting it that ND will use those high res assets in the game.

They used hight res assets for the game. But they were not upto the quality of cut scenes. I am a die hard playstation fan but I dont like to be deceived.

I hope some of you know "goes up to an eleven" is actually an expression of speech. Talk about talking things literally...

Not everyone lives in Iceland to know about English phrases!

What sort of perverted logic is this? It's a cut scene. Who gives a damn if it's in real time or not? All you need to be know is that the in game graphics (WHICH ARE REAL TIME) are going to be of the same quality as the cut scenes.

Max Payne 3 cutscenes were real time, but loading times suffered a lot because of it. You would have to sink like ten minutes of a cutscene that you had already seen just for the game to finish loading the next gameplay section :/

Though if someone shot Max, the guy would appear injured in the cutscene, which was cool.

I know. I played maxpayne 3 in ps3. But what ND and santa monica did was deceiving. Bumping graphics for the cutscenes are not acceptable. That is my main issue.

I somehow agree with you. Especially when the game is not released and we get to see videos of those cutscenes and people think it's actually real-time graphics which they are, of course, not. Many studios do this, yes, but somehow I think we are decepted and fall for it every time... This is why I am always skeptical and call out "bullshot" every time I see it.

How do you know? What have they done to enhance those graphics? What will the game actually look like when we finally get to see gameplay? You're in the same boat as everyone else: we'll just have to wait and see.

Out of interest, you do know what 'turned up to 11' means, right? It means 'Bloody good'. It's a figure of speach.

Smart business decision, of course. I was talking about the ps3 version of tlou just in case that wasn't clear. Although a ps3 price drop wouldn't hurt my feeling either. That one would be more for me than anything.

Why would that be a smart business decision when the game is still selling well? If they dropped the price by $20 then they'd have to sell 1.5 times as many copies every week just to make the same amount of money. Do you honestly think that a price drop would cause a bigger long term sales increase than that at this point?

The game isn't going to sell as well when an enhanced version with more content is released for the same price. The perceived value will be greatly diminished, and a price cut would at least keep sales on track if not improve them.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

They need to take 11 off of that price.

PS3 version still retails for $60. Why should the PS4 version cost less?

The game still sells.

Now if the PS3 version was $20 bucks then you might have a case.

Amazon has it for $38.99 right now

Initial price is still $60.

PS4 version will see sales as well.

Left Behind DLC is also $15.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Last-Us-Behind-Digital/dp/B00GMTKMHY

Abandoned Territories Map pack is $10

Or buy the season pass to get all the content you would be getting in the PS4 version for $20.

So $58.99 to basically be getting the PS4 version, minus the 1080p, *possible* 60FPS and graphical boost.

How do I know? I know because I examined the game environment carefully. Even drakes model is way inferior than of cutscenes. I gotta admit uncharetd 2 deceived me believing cutscenes were actual graphics. And try to play uncharted multiplayer. In terms of quality its the best multiplayer in ps3. But check out the environment and character model. They are really poor. Poorer than the single player mode environment.

Turned up to 11 meaning? I know it perfectly what it meant. English is not my native language but its a common term which is understood by anyone. Why are you putting it here? Did I said I didnt understood it.

And check these out.

From wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_of_War_III

In January 2010, it was confirmed that God of War III would have a native resolution of 720p instead of the originally announced 1080p.

Velazquez later clarified his statement: "When I mentioned that GOW3 has no CG, I was referring to the fact that we do not have pre-rendered scenes that were created outside of the game engine," instead, "all the cutscenes are created using our in-game engine; however, some scenes were just too epic to run real-time and thus are recorded videos."[34]

Epic? Or ps3 wasnt capable of pulling that graphics? I love my ps3 and ps4 but I wont blindly believe everything they says.

Agreed. Someone might say I am not a true ps gamer because I am critising them. I just like to stick with the truth.

I am going to wait for pricedrops after already paying $60 less than a year ago for it. I also think the game is given a bit too much credit. Don't get me wrong I loved the game, but all the press and fans going on and on and on about how it is the greatest piece of software ever released and whatnot. I don't even remotely agree with that.  To be 100% honest it was my #3 of 2013.  Great game though and the 60 FPS will surely improve the experience.

I'd argue that the people buying it on PS3 right now and in the forseeable future are very different from the people planning to buy it on PS4. Though if you're saying it should get a price cut around the time the PS4 port drops then that's somewhat understandable. I thought you were saying the price should be dropped now.
