This thread has devolved into an utter mess and should just be left to die already.

1. they are destroying the chances of a version because of their own incompetence. it's simply not justified.

2. the wii u version was confirmed over a year ago. it's fair to assume the development was up to date with other versions, given all the time it had. the big delay IS because resources are being taken away from it.

Again, you can't make these claims without backing them up.

1. How are they destroying the chances of a version because of their own incompetence? There is a slew of evidence and information posted in this thread to justify their decision to delay the Wii U version. You have come up with next to nothing to back up your claim.

2. It has already been established that nobody has any idea for sure how many man-hours were used to get the other versions ready, and how far away from completion the Wii U version was by the time February came around. Again, there are plenty of quotes and evidence showing that the Wii U version needed more time. What hard, solid evidence do you have to support that the big delay is only because the resources were taken from it?

1. because they weren't competent to finish the game even with a delay and had to resource to this crappy move.

2. because the wii u version had been in development for a long time and resources were taken from it. that all it needs to figure.

That's not supporting evidence, that's just restating your claims.

And it's for that reason, I'm bowing out now. It would be different if I was discussing with someone who can back up their opposing view with some decent evidence, but since all you are doing is making baseless claims in the face of research and evidence that shows otherwise, it's pointless.

I think most people have drawn their own conclusions now, about more than just the topic title.

"in the face of research and evidence that shows otherwise". that never happened, just saying.

People just like arguing with zero, for some asinine reason.  It's the old 'doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results' definition of insanity, as defined by people who don't have access to actual dictionaries; what're you gonna do?

They could make this partially right, by giving the Wii U version some exclusive features. Technically, with whatever Gamepad integration they do, it will already have that. But perhaps some exclusive DLC or some kind of unique content wouldn't hurt. And you know, not half-assing the port, actually giving it patch and DLC support, actually giving it online support, etc.

But what am I saying? It's third parties.....on Wii U.

You ignore again. NONE of those games you mentioned were delayed so why would you expect them to use the extra hardware? (im assuming here you mean the gamepad and whatever graphics you think the Wii U can render) Not concerned about 3rd parties im talking Ubi's own games which again have released on time with other versions. They dont have the time to do extra crap with the WIi U and get it on the shelves with the others at the same time. its one or the other, especially considering they know the WIi U version is going to sell the least.

Now with that being said. IF we dont see any extra HW use for the Wii U version of this game, and its being released months later, then you can complain ahead and it would be justified (not that it would change anything) but until then you dont know until you know.

Wait and see; it will be just the PS3/360 version with a shittier framerate. I've already put a bet on it.

LOl you still didnt adress anything I said. Do you have a reason to believe this? Something you can actual back up. I say the game will run about the same as the other Wii U games, Ubi has done. If not a bit better.

Ubi's prior efforts suggest they don't even have the inclination to try. They simply don't care about getting the most out of the hardware, they just want to do the bare minimum technically.

The "extra time" won't really be extra time, they've likely put the Wii U version on hold for now in favour of the other versions, and will use the additional months just to do the stuff they're doing with PS3/360/PS4/X1/PC now.

@bolded. so what? you say they arent getting the most out of the HW? How maybe their isnt anything to get OUT of it. Maybe teh HW isnt as powerful as you believe. But lets say they do want to do the bare minimum technically. again, so what? As long as it has parity with the other versions, what is the problem? Is UBi supposed to spend extra time and resources on a version that is going to sell the worst of them all by FAR? No they shouldnt and they wouldnt. It makes no sense.

OK, that still doesn mean it will be a WORST version.
