Forums - Sales Discussion - Wii U vs. Xbox One in America Which Will Come First?

Should make a thread comparing the X1 and PS4.

He can't because it is unfavorable for X1.

Is this seriously an unworthy topic for conversation? The PS4 is clearly outselling Xbox One and creaming Wii U. People can and likely do make threads about this constantly. Why insult a guy for making a valid and coherent post about sales on a site about sales?

I'm not sure he is that biased :P

Where is the insult? You're overdramatizing this..

Wii U will hit 3 Million before One hits 6 Million in America for sure.

If they sell at exactly the same rate as they've been the Wii U will hit it in 44 Weeks. The One will take 50 Weeks.

The One will likely fall some more before staying stable and the Wii U can't really fall anymore and will only go up once more games release.

This isn't biased at all.

Well, I mean whatever you might think his 'preferences' (the word you mean, instead of bias, is preference in this case), he uses actual numbers.

Xbox One is already ahead of Wii U in America. Xbox One consistently sells four times the Wii U in America. You'd have to be 'biased' (i.e., 'prefer Wii U to the point of ignoring reality') to argue.

He isn't biased, because he isn't -ignoring- anything because of his preferences. If anything, he's paying attention to salient facts because of his preferences.

He listed one Wii U game, NCAA football went on hiatus last year if I remember correctly and hasn't been renewed for this year as of yet. Halo hasn't been confirmed for this year as well. I'm not saying it isn't possible but the fact is he picks and chooses what makes the X1 in this case look more favorable.

I'm guessing Wii U. In addition to Mario Kart coming out in 7 weeks, Wii U has four more major exclusives with 2014 release windows. I think Project Spark is the only XB1 game confirmed for release this year at the moment, and at although it has a plethora of multiplatform titles coming, it will have to contend with the PS4, PS3, 360, and PC for many of those sales (and in some cases, even the Wii U).

With the sales benchmarks you chose, XB1 will have to more than double its LTD total, and I don't see any reason to expect it to do that particularly soon. Wii U does have to sell more than half its 2013 total in the US, but with Mario Kart around the corner, we can reasonably expect some kind of boost in the early summer months.

Really? He is clearly being biased. Even if not with the sales. (Which he is) look at his upcoming games for both systems. On the Wii U side he only lists MK8. This would be fine if he was only listening games with release dates for both sides. Yet, he lists basically every potentially big One game announced so far. He lists Halo but not Super Smash Bros for example.

Honestly I see Xbox One reaching that figure before. It all depends on Mario Kart 8

"Rumored GTA 5 port" says it all.

I forgot about that one. Ha!

That certainly does show his true intentions.
