Lets all hope for titanfall.. While TLOU is a great game we shouldn't encourage developers to re-release games within a few years with shinier graphics.. CoD MW Trilogy.. Assassins Creed Ezio Stories.. Further Crying 3.. Crysis Again.. These games will happen if its succesfull.. They should invest time, money and Manpower into new experiences not the old ones from last year

COD is already being re-released yearly......

Titanfall is going to win, but the PS4 port of TLOU is also going to do pretty well!

Titanfall will be ahead until titanfall 2 comes out. Then TLOU will close the gap and after a few years will end up ahead.

I did enjoy The Last of Us far more than I'm enjoying Titanfall but it has no chance to sell more than TF lifetime.

although ill be buying the last of us once more i dont think the majority will.. the more interesting thing we can conclude by its sales is how many 360 users switched over to ps4 so far.

even so i dont think it will sell as much as titanfall basically because most of those who already wanted to try it out already has. im expecting 1-2 million lifetime for this release whereas i could see titanfall reach 3-4 lifetime on xb1

On the PS3 it sold 6mi with 50mi+ active userbase...

Well, let´s look at Tomb Raider DE, if VGchar is accurated, it sold 20% PS3/PS4 and less than 10% 360/XOne.

So, unless Sony push a enourmeous marketing stunt I can´t see TLOU reaching 2mi in the first year.

  • Titanfall on the other hand will easily reach 4mi by the end of this year.

Puff puff pass damn

Yes, you are right, I think TF on the Xone will reach 5mi by the end of this year... But VGChartz will show only 4mi.

I don't think there are going to be 10 million xbox1 sold by the end of this year.  The xbox1 console is selling about 400k monthly (80k this week) (with a big boost around the holidays), and currently xbox1 hasn't sold 5 million consoles yet.  I'm guessing the xbox1 install base will be around 8-9 million by the end of this year.  For Titanfall xbox1 to get to 4 million sold by the end of this year, that's a large 50% attach rate.  Very doubtful.

Not exaclty a fair comparison, since Last of Us came out on the PS3 first and PS4 second whereas Titanfall came out on XBOne first and 360 second. I'm pretty sure Titanfall will end up winning this competition.

That should go in Titanfall X1s favor quite easily, although the PS4 port of TLoU does have a good sales potential of about 1m+ in my opinion.

TitanFall, since at the time The Last of Us is out on PS4, it will already be out on the PS3 for about 1 year, hurting sales.

I don't think Titanfall will have good legs. Looking at Amazon reviews from verified purchasers, especially the more recent reviews, this game isn't as well lauded as compared to reviews made within the 1st few days from release. On the PC, I'm sort of already bored and moved on.
