Forums - Sales Discussion - Last of Us PS4 vs Titanfall xbox1 for total lifetime global sales

Which game will sell more lifetime globally?

Last of Us PS4 173 60.49%

Titanfall xbox1 113 39.51%

Total:286

Titanfall has the edge, but I think this will be close.  I'm not certain if Titanfall will break 3 million lifetime because the best selling next gen game (COD Ghosts PS4) barely broke thru 2 million.  Xbox1 total number of consoles will only reach 12 - 15 million by the end of 2015.

Last of Us PS4 may get to 2 million.  This is a re-release, but there are lots more PS4 consoles sold, and will probably have almost double the install console base compared to xbox1 by the end of 2015.

Tough call both have pros and cons to look at when talking about sales market. TLOU is a port and TitanFall is online only. Although, TLOU is a critical success with over 200 GOTY awards TitanFall has the hype and online fps going for it. In the end I thin TLOU will out sell TF lifelifetime due to the PS4 have a bigger install base however I believe TF will have a higher attach rate.

come on, one is a rerelease and the other one is the game of this generation, titanfall will win no prob. Stop making dumb threads like these it only give Sony fans a bad rep.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

On the PS3 it sold 6mi with 50mi+ active userbase...

Well, let´s look at Tomb Raider DE, if VGchar is accurated, it sold 20% PS3/PS4 and less than 10% 360/XOne.

So, unless Sony push a enourmeous marketing stunt I can´t see TLOU reaching 2mi in the first year.

Titanfall on the other hand will easily reach 4mi by the end of this year.

Edit: Will we have a threat for TF vs every PS4 exclusive? This will became boring soon.

Yes, you are right, I think TF on the Xone will reach 5mi by the end of this year... But VGChartz will show only 4mi.

Lets all hope for titanfall.. While TLOU is a great game we shouldn't encourage developers to re-release games within a few years with shinier graphics.. CoD MW Trilogy.. Assassins Creed Ezio Stories.. Further Crying 3.. Crysis Again.. These games will happen if its succesfull.. They should invest time, money and Manpower into new experiences not the old ones from last year

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Titanfall

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
