Forums - Gaming Discussion - H1Z1 First Details: Survival Taken To The Next Level Free-to-Play Confirmed Screens Inside

if they can do what they set out to do with their vision then it seems like this could be a very good game. ill wait until the PS4 version comes out. ill give this a try, i mean, its F2P after all so its not like ill spend anything on it anyways.

For a massive world F2P MMO I think it looks great. Just because a game is in the same genre does not make it a rip off either. It is obvious this game has been in development for quite a while as well so they did not add zombies after Rust took them off.

This is a F2P sandbox MMO

You have no idea of the scope of the game. Also it is technically is not even in Alpha yet....

The scope isn't really relevent if you are streaming in content it doesn't really matter how big the world is after a point. You will only see what you see and as long as they are smart will only sync what is happening around the client. So it doesn't really matter if the game world is 2km x 2km or 20000km x 20000km.

For example Outerra a project made by a dozen people with a game world which is earth (yes the entire thing) to scale

Or Infinity Quest for Earth which is an MMO with an entire galaxy of 200 billion star systems where you can fly to any planet and down into the atmosphere seamlessly.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

I'll try it once it's available, but I hope they make you lose your stuff if you die. Survival games need to be punishing or they lose almost all of their atmosphere.

I think I have never been so hyped except for TLoU, if you want to sell me a game, make an post apocalyptic setting and say you want me to build Woodbury from TWD

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Terminus is stupid cause they only have simple fences, Woodbury had cool walls.

But at least I know who not to play with or not to visit

tbh both those examples look like shit as well.

yeah this seems heavily inspired by The Walking Dead, which is awesome. the scope and goal of this game seems awesome. the question now is if they can deliver, if they do, then this might be the first time i am interested in an MMO.

Sure, like I said in the Nation thread, it's my dream game on paper, how will that translate on screen is another matter. What I hope after playing a bit of Planetside 2 and seeing of Day Z, a lot of people adjust to the atmosphere of the game and play their "roles". There is no CoD bunny-hopping, sprinting all the time, running in circles and all kind of stupid shit that breaks immersion. Hopefully it will be like that in H1Z1 as well.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
