Both because it's the first handhled and first HD one. If this were the second handheld I'd probably pass, but my interest is peaked for how it will be on 3DS. I think Wii U will be better.

I will be getting both. I will use the 3DS version to wait for the Wii U version and when the Wii U version comes out I will give the 3DS version to my brother.

Will you need ( or will it make a big difference) to buy the additional joystick add on piece?

I could not imagine playing Monster Hunter on the 3 DS w out an additional joy stick and wondering if it would be the same for Smash

If the add on is needed ill wait for the Wii u version - if not then will see which version has the most to offer - right now it looks like the 3ds will have more content-
