Forums - Sales Discussion - IGN Confirmed - inFamous: Second Son surpassed 1 million copies sold 9 days after global launch

well turns out numbers were true. VGC seems spot on, good job.

so just a little math for fun, according to this infamous generated 31.3 million for sony at retail (using VGC numbers) and around 4.8 million digital (assuming its 80k). so thats around 36 million. i know im not taking currency rates and such things, but this is just to try give a primary ballpark number. game performed well, no doubt its gonna be very profitable for sony, this just might mean they wont have to sell another building this month.

Stop making this a Titanfall vs Infamous debate.

Only warning.

can i turn it into a GT vs Forza debate? we havent had one of those in a while.

That would be at least a legit debate since we talk about similar games which give many the question which console to buy but that comparing a third-person open world singleplayer game with a first-person multiplayer game on “small“ maps will be the hot topic for months on gaming sites is something I wouldn't believe if I wouldn't see it... As if more than 5 people on this planet would buy Infamous instead of Titanfall or vice versa... if you would have to show someone two games which are absolutely no harm to each other these two games would be a great example.

hmm, that seems logical. i dont like that.

Nice. It's selling more than TitanFail too.

Wait..... did I spell that correctly? Is it possible that I'm joking to lighten up the mood?!?

This is why in Anerica image or product perception means a lot.. If nintendo wants to keep consoles viable they need to try to change their image a little by having some realism. If it keeps them making more consoles that's what matters to me

Looks like this game is on pace to sell any wii u game.. Even the supposedly console sellers

Worst thing about this news, it'll get pointed to in the future as "proof insiderp is 'usually right' ".

Insiderp redeemed. But honestly besides the name, was that site debunked? I mean someone could say Vgchartz instead of charts, what is that shit?! Trolololo. And that's all I usually see in insiderp threads.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

They still claimed that the game had 40k more digital preorders than digital sales in its first eight days, both numbers they could have only gotten from someone at Sony and thus shouldn't be that far away from each other.
