inFamous: Second Son surpassed 1 million copies sold 9 days after global launch

inFamous: Second Son seemed destined for success the moment it was unveiled during the PlayStation 4 reveal event thanks to its state-of-the-art visuals and enticing open-world gameplay.

The game was released worldwide on March 21st and Sony has now announced that it managed to sell over one million copies during its first nine days at retail and on the PlayStation Store. This makes it the fastest selling inFamous title to date despite the fact that the PS4′s install base is currently much lower than the PS3′s was when the first two inFamous games launched.

inFamous: Second Son is the second first-party PS4 title to break the one million mark after Killzone: Shadow Fall achieved the same milestone in late December.

Looking at the sales 1 million is pretty believable. It outsold titanfall it's second week.

If Sony announced that wouldn't we know that Sony announced it...I wouldn't be surprised if this was true but I'd expect to see a Sony announcement from Sony.

At this rate i see ps4 beating x1 in march npd, ps4 was adjusted up again last week, and has outsold x1 for several weeks after TF.

Isn´t this in line with VGC which is about 900k for the first two weeks? I suspect they also include digital sales in those numbers, so a great achievment!

While this would be great to hear the site simply states that Sony says so without any links to a press release and they aren't a big enough site for me to just take their word for it so if Sony truly have said this I'll wait for someone else to corroborate it.

Just saying "But Sony said it" doesn't show anything.

Either way 1 million seems pretty likely. VG has infamous week 2 better then titanfall week 2.
