While the reason probably is the tax hike, it's not really that bad. People are just overreacting (in my opinion... and I'm poor. :P).
Tax went up by 3%, so in the case of a PS4 (the most expensive one on the list) sold at the SRP, this would mean a 1199 Yen increase. Not really a huge increase.

Any games for the japanese market at all would be a good start. As with every PS console it won't be one game that "saves" it, it all depends on how many games it's going to get overall, if its support isi as anemic as the Wii Us then you can probably expect sales to be just as bad for the PS4, I doubt that'll happen though third parties have always supported PS consoles, it just takes some time for the whole thing to get going in Japan.
Overall horrible week though, well at least the Vita is up YoY.
