This week vita sold more in japan than wii u did worldwide. Xbox one and ps4 will steamroll them both later this year. Can the wii u ever pass vita? Some on here believe mario kart will push wii u above ps4 but i cant see mk pushing more than 70000 consoles at best launch week...what do you think?

I think it will be able to by December 31 2014 or else I am gonna buy a Vita (unless smash bros is delayed till 2015, then no, it wont)

I will remember this, and you will buy a Vita if your prediction is wrong. Then you can enjoy all the niche Japanese games as well :D

If Kart and Smash have a minimal impact, then no.

Like JoeTheBro said, it pretty much depends on MK8 and SSB. If they don't move systems it will be a while, if ever, before the Wii U passes the Vita.

Even if it did, it wouldn't matter because they don't compete (handheld/home consoles).

IMO, the only game that the Wii U has going for it is Smash. MK8 will do well, sure, but it won't boost Wii U sales in the way some are hoping it will. We've seen the prophesied heavy hitters for the Wii U swing and miss, I don't think that trend will end with Donkey Kong. There's no reason, at this point, for me to think Wii U will outsell Vita.

It's not going to. Nothing can revive the sales of this console. Nothing has had any effect so far. It's falt year after year.

It will do it by the end of the year.
