Get a GC to CC adapter for the WiiMote, connect the GC controller, bam
If that cost $100 and only worked for Smash Bros, I would still buy it.
I wish Nintendo had stuck with the design. Simply for brand purposes. The current pro controller is generic and isn't associated with Nintendo.

So it will be easier for me to adapt to the game than to have to get used to both Brawl and the new one. I go to a brawl tournament every 3 months, so I need to keep my GC controller tight. |

While somewhat agree that the design is generic, it works fantastic.
Plus the godly +80 hours of battery life.

It's kind of ironic, you know. When the GC first came out (and for many years after in fact), all I heard from trolls in the gaming media, as well as other gamers in real life, especially hardcore PS or Xbox fans, was how "silly" the controller looked. They didn't like the button layout, they didn't like the small shape/size, or the purple-ness, etc. That, on top of the Gamecube "looking like a lunch-box", were popular troll jokes back then.
Now apparently there has been some kind of revisionist history, and people seem to think that the GC controller was "the best evar". So......................right. I still say the Wii Classic Controller Pro was the best of the lot. The original Classic Controller was great in concept, a SNES controller with analog sticks. Perfect on paper. BUT, their awkward placement of the tiny "Z button" nubs, and the cord coming out of the bottom of the damn thing instead of the top, kind of ruined it a bit. I'd still be down with that design, just fixed. Otherwise, the CC Pro is awesome.
As for the Wii U "Pro" controller? It is also fine, I suppose, except that it seems too much like an X-Box controller, and I really have never liked those little thing trigger buttons on the back of the controller like that. One worked out well on the N64 controller, but the way that the DC, XB, and now Wii U "Pro" do it, I'm just not a fan.

Its common fact if something was unpopular back in its day it will more than likely end up with a "hipster" following in the future.
Remember its cool to like whats uncool
