I'm not the biggest Sonic fan in the world, but from what I have heard and seen of Sonic Boom I'm looking forward to it.

When it was first revealed a lot of attention was drawn to the main characters being redesigned.

Personally I think they look quite good, but can understand why others took the piss, especially some long term fans.

What interests me most about Sonic Boom is that the Wii U version is being done by a Western developer, Big Red Button,  which has talent that has worked on games such as Jak & Daxter, Uncharted and Crash.  It also looks great, running on an enhanced version of Cry Engine 3, and is not being treated as canon by Sega, which may give the developer a lot of freedom. 

So what do you think?  Are you looking forward to it? Do you like the character redesign?  Do you even care about poor old Sonic anymore?

No, because it's on Wii U. If it was on Xbox One and PS4 then people would be all over it though.

I bet if this was the first game in the Sonic franchise everybody would love it.

I honestly don't know. A reboot is so unpredictable. I just hope they don't cut out speeding and at least let you run from out region to the other.

With the exception of Knuckles' design ( what the fuck were they thinking?!), Sonic Boom is shaping up to be a pretty good game! Its graphics also remind me of the good ol' days of the N64 and PS2! You can consider me excited! ^_^

Heck yeah!!! They better show more at E3, better yet make it one of the playable demos, assuming they do those hands-on events again, which they also better do! xD

Well it is Sonic so I am interested. However, it feels more like a "Sonic Heroes" entry to me. Fine, but not really want I enjoy most from the series.

Ive warmed up to the new designs. Still hate that it looks Jak and Daxter aesthetically( not surprising) and not sonic.
