Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox One to Beat PS4 November NPD and in the Future From Now On (in 2014)

This is starting to look even more far fetched that it did when the prediction was made.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I'm afraid your prediction will not come to pass. The PS4 is far more attractive to look at to begin. It's smaller and fits better in small spaces. It is a more powerful system. PS+ is a better deal. Call of Duty is likely to make PS4 it's lead platform. Titanfall has underperformed and is not selling much better than Infamous: SS. Sony has more game studios. E3 will probably blow us away. Titanfall 2 is likely to be on PS4 according to what Respawn said. I think the return to PS2 era success is a strong possibility and the Xbox reign is over. I predict Titanfall may have won Xbox a small victory at a time when there was a PS4 shortage. I predict that Xbox One will lag behind PS4 this generation.

Uhh no.

XOne MIGHT have a CHANCE (a chance only) as long as the 449 Titanfall bundle lasts, but despite popular opinion that wont be forever.

More likely, if the console goes back to being Forza bundle for 499, there are going to be a couple very poor sales months before E3 (where I assume they will announce a Kinectless SKU, price drop, or other major change to boost fortunes), and lots of overreaction predictions of doom etc.

Heck even if X1 keeps 449 TF bundle right to E3, I'd still put there odds at way less than even of winning April and May NPD.

Of course if they have a stellar March NPD I might change my tune on that.

Yea I got the PS4 and got the X1 last weekend and I was very underwhelmed by Titanfall. Honestly the first time I played it I didn't even like the game at all. The next day I played again and I did enjoy it a lot more but the robots kill this game for me big time more than I thought they would. Every time I think I'm killing a human its a robot or people hide in the robots its BS.

It honestly just made me want to go play BF4 especially with the test servers running perfectly. I'll be returning my X1 this weekend for sure I can't justify keeping this console for $486 I'd rather just get my money back.

Well that didn't last long.

PS4 won January and barely won February

-Xbox One will win March because of Titanfall and price cuts

-Xbox One will win April because of Kinect Sports Rivals and the fact the PS4 will have caught up with demand 100%

I feel that Microsoft has/will have a much stronger library that will apeal to the most gamers this year

Titanfall+Halo+Forza+Kinect Sports rivals+Windows Apps+Quantom Break+Multiplats+Unnannouced games will beat PS4's lineup I imagine (Playstation doesn't have Huge hits in the US besides Uncharted really, most playstation exclsuive games only sell 1-2 million in US while Halo can sell 6 million+) Uncharted is not coming this year and GT7 is not coming either. Last of Us remake will sell decent but people just bought the game on ps3.

-It's tradition to buy Madden, Call of Duty, etc on Xbox Platforms in the US

-Microsoft has better advertising

-Microsoft will have more casual appeal once kinect games and apps start rolling out

I See no way the PS4 has a chance in the United States against the Xbox One especially now that Sony Charges to play online and Xbox One has a blue ray player built in (no advantage to getting a Playstation this time)

Yes it Will! How is that working out for ya???
