Forums - PC Discussion - AMD R9 295X2 Specs Out: GTX Titan Z Killer!

So I will some up the main points quickly:

-Stronger than 780 Ti SLI, and so likely stronger or comparable to a Titan Z.  (Though at this point Nvidia will update their design some way to counter this I am sure)

-Yes it is faster than 2x290X.  It is clocked higher and has better scailing.

-Likely price of $1500 instead of $3000.

-Built-on 120mm closed loop cooling system.  Yes this means it requires a 120mm fan slot to be used.   Does this limit what cases it can fit in?  Maybe, but the actual card itself is still just dual-slot while the Titan Z is tripple-slot.

-It comes out 4/8/14.  Very soon!

So what are your thoughts?  R9 290X2 to be announced soon as well?

^This leaked benchmarl was clearly from Techspot, but they have since ammended the article to try and hide the source.  It should also be noted that Bioshock: Infinite leans towards Nvidia cards, and yet it still won.   Expect a bloodbath in BF4.

EDIT:  Yep it destroys the competition.  Titan Z may be dead on arrival:

Enough dick measuring contests from AMD or Nvidia ...

Saw this yesterday on Tom's Hardware, that is one fantastic high end card. Too bad the miners will drive the price up until it's so expensive that only the wealthiest can afford it.

AMD cards are known to be good miners because Nvidia keeps ignoring their integer performance ...

Prices have fallen back down.  It's fine now.  Also no one would buy this for mining when a 3x290's can be bought for $1410.

OP updated with a link to a review of the beast!

I want this card! Wish I had the money to upgrade for this.

Agreed.
Plus, if you are lucky enough, you can unlock the 290's into full 290X's anyway.

The card has two 8-pin power connectors. That allows a maximum power draw of 375 Watts.

This alone will tell you that its performance will be similar to a Titan Z (which very obviously it is aimed at), certainly not "killing" it (as far as performance is concerned).
