It can have all the talent it wants, one studio can only do so much

Yeah... some are dismissing this way too early.

Good thing the device easily supports like a bazillion Android apps.

Good if you want to play Android games.  Not good if you have zero interest in them

Correct me if I'm wrong, this Amazon console is more comparable to the Ouya than the other consoles in what kinda games it's trying to deliver, right?
If so then I find this to be a kinda sad waste of great human resources, if they'd use this talent to make a multiplat studio making AAA games that'd be awesome, since they're only making games for this Amazon device which does really not appeal to me, I can only say 'meh'.

This.  Amazon already has a lot of people who already have movies, music, ebooks, etc purchased from them.  This device is aimed towards those people who want to have an online multimedia streaming device that can also play console quality games that look around or better than the quality of the Vita.  Right now it can play The Walking Dead Season 1 and Minecraft, so with what it's functions are and what it can already play, there are going to be a lot of people that take the splurge of spending $100 on buying one.

You're wrong.

They'll surely have the typical mobile library that you seem to toss out as crap. But, they are clearly also going to deliver the console/pc games via streaming capabilities that you hold at a biased higher category.

As I mentioned in the other OT thread. This will quickly outpace Ouya/Roku/etc... but as time goes on this could become a serious challenger to consoles.

Ok, I was mistaken then.

BTW I'm not saying mobile games are crap, I just wouldn't want such a vast array of extremely talented people to be working on nothing but them.

I don't have the cash for anymore game consoles or whatever
