Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo gamers are (stereotypically) the nicest gamers

Fans of anything are like that most of the time. It's just the fanboys that you should avoid.

It depends on what parts of the Internet you're referring to. There's a lot of jaded and bitter fans of all systems.

Nintendo fans are easily the worst by a long shot. No contest.

In all seriousness I think it's the culture of Nintendo that tends to make the fans a bit nicer. Nintendo culture values fun, quality, and connectivity while the others are more geared towards competition and power. There's obviously many exceptions but I just feel a culture of competition and one-upsmanship doesn't generally create a friendly and relaxed environment, where the goal is to win and beat others and prove yourself as opposed to just playing and enjoying yourself.

I have the same experience. Sony fans are also nice. I have had some problems with xbox fans in the past though (not on this site).

Everytime I have a discussion with a Nintendo gamer; whether online or in person, they are always the most enjoyable to talk with. Not sure why, but they offer their opinions on gaming related things and will respectfully agree or disagree ect. They are fun to play games with. They enjoy the little things in games. Whether it be showing you where to catch a rare Pokemon or helping you do some stuff in Animal Crossing.

On the other side; sometimes when I talk to a Sony or Microsoft gamer they are impatient and stubborn in their opinions. Often loud and inconsiderate. Not much discussion is had with these types of gamers if you disagree with their opinions.

I should write a book.

I respectfully disagree.

On the basis of my experience, if I were to generalize, each demographic includes people who can be equally nasty, though in very different ways.

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Although I haven't used it that much, Miiverse looks like a really happy and nice place.
A very rare thing on the internet.

Depends on which type of Nintendo gamer you're talking about. If you're talking about the newer generation of Ninty fans that were honed on the DS and Wii, then yes, they are very nice.

If you're talking about older generations of Ninty gamers, especially the ones that have been there since the early days of the NES and fought through the Nintendo Vs SEGA war, then you're talking about a whole different animal.

Yes

I don't get all these fresh Nintendo Fans.

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

To be fair, the average person on Miiverse is much nicer than the average person on X-Box Live or PSN.

Not sure what that's worth, but hey.

thanks.

you can even prove this in this thread with the people answers.

I disagree. I mean Nintendo gamers can be nice, but in general I've met people from various brands who are nice or mean and I haven't really noticed a pattern.
