In the past couple of months I think we can agree how AWFUL their journalism has been. Not retracting articles such as the whole driveclub issue. And also they post rumours based on rumours based on insiders they have 0 connection with. Journalism ftw.
The only original news they have nowadays are features and paid-for news, such as game announcements. Even they flop that half the time (See ratchet&Clank nexus announcement exclusivity fail)

The IGN big faces are leaving the sinking ship. News corp no longer want to deal with the people, the entire video-based Nintendo team recently left of their own accord to join Nintendo.
After Ps4 announcement in feb last year, they had major layoffs, with popular people like ryan clements sacked. They've moved to a primary text journalism to compliment video journalism, death of the ASCII :( 

Ok so my point is lay-offs are a part of business, as well as departures, and IGN think Sony are undergoing dooom!

Probably why I use adblock exclusively on IGN cause they stoopid.

One deserves it and the other doesn't, atleast not as much.

Both IGN and Gamespot are just lolz... They both have a stick so up their ass that they can't tell the difference between whats good and whats dumb

But they have something in common... they both deserve to sink.

The only major gaming site I use now is Kotaku. Can't stand IGN and thee way they blatantly take money for hyping games to the extreme. They are practically in bed with EA.

I dont know. I like ign and generally agree with their reviews of games. Not really sure why you comparing them to sony. One has huge money problems and the other doesnt... Its not really a good comparison.

Sorry? Why are you sorry? Is anyone going to argue with you on this? Sure, some people mention that Sony is struggling as a defense when their own favorite of the big three is being attacked, but the difference is that Sony actually has a fanbase. No one gives a shit about IGN anymore, I can't wait for them to sink. It's absolutely going to happen, no doubt about it. Sony can survive, and their success with Playstation this gen will help them do so. They'll come out smaller than they were before, but they'll be fine I think.

The difference is that Sony is actually good and has a great legacy and doesn't deserve its financial woes, and IGN is unabashedly lame and totally deserves it.

I go there out of habit. But it is clear they flame bait for clicks.

And dear God the people that post there are all basically trash of the earth. No matter what the article is about it immediately turns into Super Troll Wars 3000.

Seriously, Microsoft and Sony announced the X1 and PS4 over a year ago and non-stop every single comment since is just immature twats attacking each other over their choice of console. I thought VGChartz was pretty bad at one point but they make the comments here look very mature.
