Ouya found it rival...

99 dolars, could work for a piece of the market.

All the people saying 'Ouya,' keep in mind this isn't being branded as a gaming device, but as a media streaming device to beat Roku and Apple TV.

It´s much more powerfull than both if I´m no mistaken...

IDK about Apple TV but Ouya blows Roku boxes away as a gaming platform

The UK has loads of devices like this, TVs have them built in. Any of us with our consoles have access to half this stuff it will do. I wish it luck but it's got to fit in an already filled up market. Good luck to them though. If it's part of their Amazon Prime (LoveFilm) thing, it might do alright but that's available on loads of things already.

Hmm, pie.

Who says this wont have different specs and features/games from competitors?

Well specs don't really matter for streaming services, but we'll see how it delivers on games. I'll reserve judgement until then.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Welp, thats that... Any doom and gloom the big 3 had from Amazon is officially now gone

They JUST started talking about gaming. if this does streaming games, it is going to cause a lot of heartache for some.

Why?  It's not going to be streaming the newest Uncharted, Halo or Mario Kart after all

Thousands of games available next month from devs like Ubisoft, Double Fine, Take Two.

Now that's interesting. I wonder if they'll be free for Prime members. I might pick one up just for that.

They have relationships with tons of third parties already (Ubisoft, Take-Two) so it will at least stream in highest-level top-end PC graphics most 3rd party games, if it does indeed stream.

That is all I am saying, we can not say how useful/useless this device is yet.

Also it has a dedicated gpu. It is not just a streaming box

"The Fire TV features 2 GB of RAM and a dedicated GPU, which Amazon said is the kind "usually found in smartphones." The device's UI includes sections for movies, television, apps and photos in addition to games."

So, basically an Ouya?

I will probably end up buying this if it is well priced and gets some interesting games/features. Ouya did none of those things besides being priced decently

Well it is out today and cost $99, so the same as a Ouya. Though this is more of a stab at AppleTV, which isn't saying much.

I was kinda hoping they won't do this and actually attempt to make a rival console. I mean the games look basic and the controller looks ok at best but it might do well.

Seriously with this and the ouya it looks like a retarded fight to the king of the sup-par consoles.

Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.
