Apples and oranges. Xbox offers different games than Playstation, and Android and Windows Phones have different OS. I'm not sure what sets this apart from everything else. 

So we should only have one Android phone and one Windows phone because they have the same software and OS? This is also AMAZON who has a good bit of money to throw around. This could be an interesting product. Will it replace my PS3/PS4 no. But may it have a place? Maybe. I think so

They JUST started talking about gaming. if this does streaming games, it is going to cause a lot of heartache for some.

Phones had different specs, cameras, features, what sets this thing apart from all the competing products?

Talking about the high price of gaming consoles and how people want good graphics. I think we're going to see PS4's claim to 'best graphics at lowest price' evaporate within the hour.

When they acquired studios like Double Helix I was expecting a more impressive piece of kit on the gaming front and thought maybe Amazon were going to at least try to compete in the console space, but obviously that is not what they are actually going for.

Amazon has been signing gaming devs so they will have first party software.  DOuble Helix was just bought by them recently.

Currently im not interested but if they have a more game focused mentality than the others then it may be worth picking up over the others
