oops, misread prom as porn...

this can't be real, if it is,then it's pretty sad.

It is real. Go search on Google. News started to go in back mid-2013.
And that news is 3 days old.

My wife is from Ireland and she's always amazed at how interracial couples are received here in the US. I'm from Jamaica and though it's not very common there are interracial couples there. No one really thinks anything of it in Jamaica. We've had many black, white, and mixed race leaders on the island so it's not new to us.

lol wut.
I'm impressed that law was still standing in 2013.

There was no law.

What people are misreading.... and I don't really blame them since it's buried way down in the middle between a bunch of pictures is

The high school in question did not hold a prom until this year.

Parents would instead hold their own proms.  Which apparenty were segretated.  Which is terrible, but not really the same kind/level of terrible.

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/04/29/17967090-students-hold-georgia-schools-1st-racially-integrated-prom?lite

from 2013 mentions it.

Where they actually had a student sponsored interacial prom last year.  So really, the more correct headline would be "School holds it's first prom".

I'm multiracial myself, but I kind of understand when many minorities attempt to blend their cultures in a way that simply won't work.
