A Microsoft Insider revealed today that Microsoft is working on a upgrade kit to give the Xbox One twice the power.
"It will be a simple series of tubes that you can install yourself and that will cool the inside with liquid nitrogen to prevent damage from the overclocking most of the vital parts to achieve the desired boost"
All future consoles will come pre-installed with the cooling system, but a liquid nitrogen cartridge will be required to take advantage of the advantage.
"One fill should last about two weeks to a month, depending on your gaming habits" the androgynous source revealed, with a rumored price of about $15 for a refill. But it seems Microsoft is also planning to implement regular refills into a new XBL full-service plan.
All future games will still work with the original Xbox One, but they will now have a seperate "paritiy" mode that will allow gaming at higher resolutions and frame rates. A mode that will also be patched into select past Xbox One titles.
Update:
As revealed recently by a thrustworthy source known to me personally in this very thread the new Model will be called "Xbox Zero" or maybe "Xbox Sub-Zero" in reference to the temperatures inside.
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
