Rockstar has announced a sequel to L.A. Noire, which I am very excited for.
However, they didn't show nor explained anything about the game. There are no confirmed details for where the game will take place, yet the time is in a near future from the original L.A. Noire. The game and the official trailer is meant to be announced later on this year's E3. Despite all this, they gave us a hint about the new - and for them the most exciting - department: Paranormal.
Paranormal is one of the (Unconfirmed) five new departments in the game. In this department our currently unnamed new main character will face strange cases where there is a supposed relation to paranormal forces such as ghosts, aliens and even mytical creatures. Despite the cases either being acutal paranormal forces or mere bizarre crimes with no logical explanations, we are going to be the ones that, at the end of every case, decide if the case was human-caused or not and choose a guilty. These harsh decisions will affect the storyline sooner or later. Paranormal is meant to be a way to introduce a horror segment to the game, where players will think twice before entering a room or inspecting an object at the crime scene.
Here's a teasing screenshot taken directly from the development studios. This case is the first one we will face on this department and it's called "The strange case of the cop who could float".
Rockstar will provide a lot of new major details about their incoming sequel which has no release date ATM during this year's E3, so we can do no more than wait until June.
Yes, fellas. This is a joke thread. Happy April Fools. A little too soon, but I have no time tomorrow. Sorry for breaking your dreams, L.A. Noire fans.
