Literally an annual JRPG franchise, and funnily enough they keep on getting better. It's almost as if the developers are learning :^)

well, they do save a lot of time by only using lowly detailed/low poly environments without much lighting/shadowing to speak of

Seems to be the main theme for the game, since they also used it in the reveal trailer iirc.
I quite liked the piece that played in the first half of the video myself.
