Forums - Gaming Discussion - Now That the Xbox One is Selling Like Hotcakes ...

Now that the Xbox One got Titanfall and a 50 dollar price cut it is able to sell comparable to PS4 despite the Xbox One being more expensive and  not being released in most of europe and asia. My question is will more price cuts and games push the Wii U higher or is it destined to sell around 30-35k every week?

Selling half as much is comparable?

Good ol' toastboy!

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

only in USA and just this month because Titanfall

So after a week of great sales over a six month period it's "selling like hotcakes"? I wouldn't go that far.

Yes. Mariokart will save the wii u.

Hopefully.

Yeah, we're not gonna answer your question!

*edit* Darn it JoeTheBro!  We had an agreement!!

This thread is bad and you should feel bad.

Also just to contribute and to not be called a troll I'll add this: Games and pricecuts will definitely give the Wii U a temporary boost (which for all we know is also the only thing the X1 is getting at the moment, give it 2-3 more weeks and see where it stands then), but overall I don't see the Wii U ever really taking off.

And btw. the less countries excuse is weak, but I'm pretty sure you already know that.

Well, since we're going to answer your question now, I'll say I expect a pretty good boost from the Wii U's big guns (Bayo2, X, Smash, and MK8). Nothing world changing but healthy, at least.

Typical YouTube Nintendo fanboy's reaction - Wii U is selling 35-40k weekly, not 30-35! You haters always try to make things seem worse!

You should correct that number though...

Typical YouTube Sony fanboy's reaction: Xbox One is selling half as much as PS4, and It'll drop lower than it is. Also Kinect is sh*tty.

They're not wrong...

Typical YouTube Microsoft fanboy's reaction: I am not sure what a Microsoft fanboy on YouTube would say, actually.

Edit: Also, yes, those things will push Wii U higher without a doubt. I just don't think the higher sales will last.

Titanfall has helped XB1 sales astoundingly, but for how long?
