That said, I didn't get why you shoehorned only playing Titanfall for a month... this ain't last gen, PS4 has a paywall too.

Well for some reason they don't tell you that you only get one free month with titanfall, which they include as a reason why the X1 is better value. But if you want to keep playing that free game you'll need gold in the future so the value is actually affected by it

Sony's paywall also comes with added value in the form of free games. Even more free games if you own other Sony hardware like the PS3 and PSP.

well no duh, that's obvious. One has a "price cut" and a game attached and one is still selling at it's retail price, obviously the value is in X1's favor.

You can't claim that cause consumers also determine what's the best bang for a buck. Just cause I think iphones are trash for value doesn't mean that it doesn't have a lot of value. AMD fans keep hiding behind the perf/price when it's clear that Intel offers the better deal with their processors.

Yeah, the article likes to leave out specific items that doesn't fit into the argument it's trying to make.  Doesn't change the fact that my 50 dollars a year has gotten me dozens of free games, with dozens more on the way. And when I stop paying, those games go away.  Just like Titanfall.

Agreed. By this line of argumentation of price being everything we should all stick with PS3 and 360 because they are less.

Systems and games are not equal so their value is not equal.

No need to be defensive when PS4 is still outselling regardless.
