+ Not the exact day but the week of the "as of" sales announce.
+ The prediction will be valid if posted before the announce.
+ The date used for results will be the date of the sales and not the annouce itself (eg. sold thought to consumer as of 2nd February 2014).

The 7 million sold to consumers will be announced with "as of" date for early April... the announce will happen maybe in the April 7th or 8th.

OT:

Sony won´t tell any sales figure before their financial report and won´t especify PS4 sales until E3.

There is just no point in doing that, even if they sold 500k in the next 3 weeks (assuming VGChartz is correct).

Edit: Is this thread about when VGChartz will show 7mi or when and if Sony will annouce this milestone?

We may find out from their financials at the end of the month that it is close to 7 million but I doubt Sony will make a big announcement until E3 and even then I don't think they should bother.

I don't know when they'll announce it but I imagine they'll hit 7 million (assuming VGC is correct) near the end of the second week or beginning of the third week of April.

either sony hits 7m (shipped) in their financials or not at all.

i think their quarterly financials will serve as their next milestone announcement regardless of where it is. the next announcement after that will likely be (imo) 10M.
