Yes, playing on PC is nice, but he is trying to say that everyone can play on their current PC? It's not that easy. My laptop has a dedicated NVidia card and I can't play Metro Last Light not even on low (and most of people now have notebooks, so that's a problem). My desktop won't have problems with Metro, but I've spent a considerable amount on it to achieve that. And if you want the famous 1080p @ 60 fps, then you are in trouble. Believe me, most of the PC gamers that say that they can play everything on ultra at that resolution and framerate are simply lying. |
I am not trying to say everyone can play "any game" with their current pc. Not sure where you are getting that from. I said that technology on the pc side of things has progressed faster than consoles and because of that even an average laptop with integrated graphics can play majority of big games available on pc. One thing to remember is that despite the whole "master race" moniker. Most of the big pc games are infact less graphics intensive and scale quite well. The examples would be anything from big companies like Valve, Blizzard, Minecraft, most other mmo's and moba games. Well if you have desktop, then it's even better and easier to upgrade.
As for Metro: Last Light. That game gives trouble to most pc's out there. I mean to run the game at its optimal settings you need a card (Nvidia Titan) that is more powerful than PS4, XB1 & Wii U combined. So, just can't have everything for the cheapest possible price.
