So was the Wii. People aren't buying now when they are waiting for the games of the future to release....that just ain't smart. Might as well buy the console when the next Naughty Dog/SSM game releases and hopefully get a nice price cut in the meatime. It is due to PS4 being the "in" product and the latest trend. Bangwagon hopping.
Not that it matters to you guys. I mean despite the reasons, you are still reaping the benefits.

Are you seriously comparing the Wii to the PS4? Come on man. It's very simple, PS4 is the better, more desirable console and offers a better value proposition, so it's selling more. If games were everything, the Wii U wouldn't be dying and the X1 would be selling better (though I personally find the games PS4 offers to be better, it's all subjective). Titanfall is good but it's not the end all be all. Some people don't even like FPS (I know, hard to believe, right?).
You can argue all you want, it won't change the facts.

You just described Nintendo fans justifying Wii sales last gen. It is comparable in that both are the latest trend and "in" and "cool" product. Again I base this on the only AAA games PS4 has (KZ and Infamous) were never hardware movers.
Offcourse it doesn't change the reality, and that is ok. Just wan't to pose an alternate view to those with a inflated superiority complex.

Because the Wii did offer a more desirable play method and a great value proposition to many people that would otherwise not have gamed. So that arugment is completely correct.
However, one look at games sales will tell you that the people the bought the Wii, are not the same ones buying the Ps4 (aka, third party games sell like crap on Wii, while on Ps4 they do better than X1). So unless you think that people buying the X1 are also doing it because it's the "in" thing to do, you've no idea what you're talking about.
Use some common sense man.
I agree on your point about inFamous and KZ though I wouldn't say they didn't move any consoles at all. I've seen plenty of people waiting for inFamous before jumping in, so it clearly moved consoles. Unless you have some hard data, there's nothing to discuss here. Infamous came out and PS4 sold more that week. Was it supply? Yes. Was it Infamous? Maybe. It's pretty simple.
With that said, the Ps4 would be fine without inFamous, the X1 would be dead without Titanfall (and it's well on it's way back to irrelevance).
