Forums - Sony Discussion - inFAMOUS: Second Son is Pretty Short

There's no in 5 hours you beat the game, shut down all the sections and did all the side quest. This thread is really lame. Maybe that works on people that haven't played the game but you make no sense to someone that has played and beat it

wasn't there that one update that adds 5 hours of additional content ?

But overall I guess you're just a fast player like me. For every game that is on HowLongToBeat.com I'm faster than the average, quite a few times even among the fastest runs without even trying.

5 hours would easily be the record though

5 hours? Really? Did you just speed run it on Easy without collecting anything?

I've completed the first playthrough on Expert and, whilst I agree it was shorter than I would normally prefer, I still got a good 20 hours play out of it. I'm on my second playthrough now, and I'm speeding through this time, but still collecting everything so I can upgrade all the powers and so on. I'm about 5 hours in and have just finished the north sections.

So, yes, I agree it's not the longest game, but it's far from the shortest I've played, either. And, given more content is being added all the time (the Papertrail missions, for example), I'm not disappointed with the length.

That said, the game is far from perfect, for all I'm enjoying the heck out of it.

It's not about additional content, it's about the main storyline. People called Ground Zeroes a 2 hour game, even though the game had side missions.

I beat it in around 10 or so hours.. Maybe less.. Very fun.. Boss fights were great.. But very short.. It is as if the 4rth power was cut short and not given a proper section in the game

Wow! You really rushed through the game. I don't remember how long it took me to beat the main mission but it took me much more than 5 hours. I did take the time to collect a few shard and shut down districts. I wish the game was longer because it's amazing, but I don't feel cheated for paying full price.

I guess someone's butthurt because MGS5: Prologue didn't get a lot of hype...

It's really pretty obvious. Infamous is a full fledged game. MGS5 is not. You need 90 - 120 Minutes for the main story. There are demos which entertained me longer. And that's why people call that thing a demo you have to pay for. Because that's what it is. Not saying it is bad or anything, it sure is fun as hell. But still only a demo.

I've about half way done and 10 hours in.

About 5 hours.

I don't believe that and if you did it's your fault for rushing. I've spent about 15h on normal, doing all the side stuff and I can't wait to start the 2nd run on hard and on the other path, till I get the platinum. It's a 25h+ game for me.

I think the average playtime is 10h, if you look at www.howlongtobeat.com, which is fine. MGS Ground Zeroes has an avg playtime of less than 2 hours.

If you act like Infamous SS lasts 5 hours I can say MGS GZ lasts 6 minutes if you rush, ok?

A little section where we are forced to use that last power would have been very welcome. I've heard people say it's amazing when used right.
