selnor rated Star Wars Kinect a 9/10, so Titanfall is one point better. Do you think that Titanfall is worse or as good as Star Wars Kinect? No? Then the 10/10 for Titanfall is definitely justified. |
What? Link...?

You disappoint me. I expected a 12/10 before clicking on the thread.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
Pretty hard to put down. I give it a 9, balance is subjective, because getting in a game with someone with all the unlocks and a newb somebody's getting raped just sayin!

Well, I guess he had a lot of fun with it then.
Stopped reading after Selnor1983...
On a serious note though... I am sure TitanFall is a good game, but if there is no SP, it is not for me. I have moved from Europe to Japan, and all my real life and PSN friends live in Europe or US, making MP games a bit of a miss when it comes to my current gaming habits.
One thing though;
if you Selnor, and other XBOX fans, feel this is "the best online shooter ever", what impact do you think this will have on other exclusive shooters on XONE, like Halo? I think it is pretty clear, unless something big happens, that TitanFall eventually will go multiplat starting from TF2. So my question is; do you guys feel that TitanFall might disrupt the Halo community on XBOX and divide the shooter scene? Of course the next Halo might even be better than TF, but I personally think MS is shooting themself in the foot a little here, backing a 3rd party game that is a direct competitor to their biggest franchise, and has a good chance of eating into the sales of the next Halo.
Zekkyou said: Agreed. Scores are meant to be a representation of the product in it's entirety, not a single aspect. On an hour by hour bases i'd consider inFamous an awful lot more fun game than FF14, but while i'll probably spend 30-50 hours platinuming infamous, I've sunk over 900 hours into FF14. Which is better in that case? It's perfectly fine to review a game simply on why you found it fun, but scoring it is meaningless. What is considered "fun" is far too obscure to be measured by static means, as everyone has a different idea of what is fun. That's why we score games based on everything that make them up, not one undefinable factor. In a sense, scores are an average of all the traditional expectations of fun (music, gameplay, content, story, graphics etc). The review itself will tell people if a game excels in the aspects they appreciate, but the final score is a generalized view. |
You should platinum Second Son quicker than that. It's a pretty short game also.

I tend to f*ck around quite a bit in open world games, so it usually takes me longer than most :p Spent about an hour yesterday blowing up cars and seeing how many people i could kill with building dives :D
It is a tad short though, yeah. It's a huge amount of fun (a lot of improvements to the gameplay since the last two, especially when it comes to traversing the city), but you can tell it needed a bit more time in the oven. I get the impression they were cutting it close for time and pretty much just copy and pasted the side missions everywhere.
Still, as long as the cars keep re-spawning for me to blow up i'll be a happy bunny.

In that case, 12/10 seems more accurate.

But what will you say when Halo 5 comes out...
