Its actually more likely the ps4s success is the reason for this. They want a more streamlined 1st party with more reliance on 3rd party. Like Microsoft slid into with the 360. Less investment with greater returns.

I'm saying it has a great attach rate. No shit it won't sell 6M on the Vita when the Vita only has 8m console sold. You're comparisons are so biased it's hilarious. 

I didn't mean that to be condecending, but a lot of time there are inefficiencies in a company. Trimming the fat is usually the term for letting those people go. I actually just realized you were just making a joke now. Read it "are you calling those employees the fat". My bad. :-/

If this was MS laying off devs left and right instead Sony would make a snarky little comment like "While others are letting people go, we're still hiring making gaming a better place for Playstation owners." With some empty list of "Studios that they're laying off". Personally I hope these guys find a better place to utilize their talents.
