Would this make you buy a Wii U?

Imagine a 32gig Wii U bundled with Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. U (+$100) pre-installed with NO gamepad (-$100 cost) and a pro controller with a wireless keyboard (for miiverse/login/etc) all for $250.

I personally think this would be very smart. This would cause a LOT of people to buy Wii U's and obviously more games (including maybe 3rd party and absolutely the amazing eshop indie games) and Nintendo could deal with the loss of revenue from sales profits from these games via two ways: 1) Increased revenue in overall software sales would skyrocked with more hardware out there. 2) They could include cosmetic DLC for both games (similar to Guildwars 2 gemstore) that adds no benefits other than aesthetics. Plenty of people would be willing to pay $2.00 to change what a character/weapon/kart looks like (same stats obviously) in either of these games I'm sure.

For you non Wii U owners, would this make you throw your money at Nintendo?

Super Mario RPG 2 would make me throw money at Nintendo.

So would Donkey Kong 64 2.

I still haven't gotten to play RPG 1, but I love Paper Mario more than any other game series so I have a feeling I'd like a RPG 2 as well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loved Kong 64 and wants a sequel :)

Stopped reading after "no gamepad"

Why? I love the gamepad but it's clearly not popular with the casuals, which is certainly what Mario Kart attracts for the most part, and something else that attracts casuals is cheapness. Nintendo isn't going to bundle all that with a gamepad and charge $250, it be more like $350 which wouldn't attract people as much.

Besides, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze barely used the gamepad (only for offscreen play), NSMBU used it barely to push mushroom icons and I'm sure it was the same for Mario 3d world. If Nintendo isn't even going to bother utilizing the thing in many of THEIR games then why bother?

I already have a Wii U, so it wouldn't effect me.

Nah. I wouldn't buy a Wii U without game pad. No amount of price cut would make up for it. Just imagine they would actually release a game that would make smart use of it. Then I'd be missing out.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I wouldn't purchase a Wii U without the gamepad. It's not required for most games, but there are games that it's required to even play. I'll just wait for the price to go down more and games I'm interested in actually releasing.

Rpg 1 is on the wii store i believe.  You should go get it and play it.  You will not be sorry

Improve gamepad battery life and give us AT LEAST 250gb internal storage (preferably 500gb). 32gb? In 2014? Are you fucking shitting me? Even Vita's max storage can double that and thats a handheld...

Your threads are hilarious
