It isn't pointless, the WW HD was awesome, even tho somekind of OoT remake was on the 3ds, another one wouldn't hurt on the wii u. Would probably boost hardware sales!


No it wouldn't, it would hurt the Zelda brand, hurt the opinion of the Wii U amongst core gamers as a system that only gets remakes of old games and ports from previous gens, and hurt the Nintendo brand by showing how far they're willing to go to milk their franchises. It would be as bad as the shit that Capcom is doing with Street Fighter IV. I would NEVER forgive Nintendo if they started acting like Capcom with my FAVORITE series. Again. WHY THE FUCK WON'T YOU JUST BUY THE 3DS VERSION?????

probably but in the time i played wow i barely had time for console releases let alone handheld games

Then I guess it's your own fault you're not finishing these games or having time for handhelds, and you shouldn't ask for an HD remake you'd probably never finish anyway when there's already a graphically updated version available.

No, of course don't play with the worst VC version. 

Why you don't play the Gamecube 480p version? It's perfectly identical but the image quality is better at 480p so it's HD-ish.

It was in the Legend of Zelda collector edition and was also bundled with mario kart double dash you can probably find it on ebay.

If you play it on a Wii (gamecube compatible), you'll get a very good image quality and the game plays really great on a Wavebird pad.

 

I think I have maybe 3 copies of the gamecube version,  somewhere...

I would buy an OOT HD version for WiiU. I did not want the 3DS version, I want to play it on a bigger screen than I played OOT before, not a tiny screen. And better surround sound, not stereo headphones.
